Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
We all have moments when our emotions are too much to bear, and we are unsure how to move forward. We may feel overwhelmed, sad, anxious, confused, angry, and maybe even numb. I can’t promise that I can make you forget all your heartaches, but I can give you the tools needed to handle them effectively so you can move through them with fewer repercussions. Using mostly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy, I will assist you in developing a healthier mindset. In our work together, I promise to create a safe and accepting environment where you can be your authentic self while also allowing you to guide the way and move at your own pace. Using a humanistic approach, I will strive to help you identify your strengths and worldview, become confident in your decision making, and learn how to become the narrator of your life. I have experience working with children, preteens, teenagers, adults, and the geriatric population. I have also worked with many challenges, ranging from depression, anxiety, LGBTQIA concerns, substance abuse, trauma, stress management, relationship issues, self-esteem, co-dependency, women’s issues, and career counseling.
I am currently a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern. In 2019, I received my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Florida in General Psychology (go Gators!). In 2021, I received my Master’s Degree from the University of Central Florida in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Currently, I am a member of the American Counseling Association and the Mental Health Counselors of Central Florida group. I have personally witnessed how mental illness can quickly take over an individual’s life, which has been my motivation for becoming a therapist. I want you to know that you are capable and worthy of achieving everything you’ve desired, as long as you change the thought patterns that have consistently held you captive, learn what strategies help you overcome your tribulations, and ultimately develop true acceptance of yourself.
